mESC-School 23

TÜBİTAK DESTEĞİ :  mESC-School 23 yaz okulu  için TÜBİTAK BİDEB 2237-A “Eğitim Etkinlikler Destek programı”na başvuru yapılmıştır . Toplam 36 katılımcının desteklenmesini esas alan başvuru 2023 birinci başvuru döneminde BİDEB’e iletilmiştir.  Destek durumu Haziran ayi içerisinde belli olacaktır. Çıkması durumunda destek, belirli limitler içerisinde adayların konaklama ve günlük giderlerlerini kapsamaktadır.

Sonuçların geç belli olma ihtimali nedeni ile programa kabul edilen katılımcılar kendi harcamalarını fatura karşılığı yapacaklar, kendilerine ödeme  desteğin çıkması durumunda ve para transferini takiben yapılacaktır.

TÜBİTAK’ça konaklama ve günlük giderler için sağlanabilecek destek miktarları ve fatura bilgileri aşağıda verilmektedir (*).

Yukarıdaki  değerler  halen geçerli destek miktarlarını ifade etmekte olup, desteğin arttırılması   yönünde BİDEB’çe çalışma yapılmaktadır. Artışın gerçekleşmesi halinde yeni destek miktarları  destek sahiplerine  yansıtılacaktır.   

Adaylar iki gurup halinde programa kabul edilecektir. Birinci gurup adaylar kendi destekleri ile başvuruda bulanan adaylar olup bu kategoride toplam 24 aday programa kabul edilecektir. İkinci gurup adaylar TÜBİTAK desteği ile programa kabul edilecek adaylardır.

TÜBİTAK desteği,  etkinliğin düzenlendiği alanda araştırmalar yapan yüksek lisans , doktora ve doktora sonrası araştırmacılar ve genç araştırmacılar ile bu alanda araştırmalarına yeni başlayacak ( lisansüstü bir programa kabul almış) adaylara açıktır. Bu adayların kabulü aşağıdaki şekilde yapılacaktır.

Ön başvuruyu takiben TÜBİTAK desteğine başvuranlar i) İngilizce başarı puanı ( YDS>60 veya eşdeğeri) baraj olmak üzere, bu değeri sağlayan aynı kuruma mensup adaylar  ALES puanlarına göre sıralanacaktır.

ii) Alanda çalışması olanlar ile bu alana yeni girecekler arasında 2:1 oran muhafaza edilecektir.

iii )Deprem bölgesinden yapılacak başvurular öncelikli olmak üzere, kurumlar arası ve coğrafi homojenliği sağlamak amacıyla her bir üniversite/kurumdan benzer sayıda adayın yaz okuluna kabul edilmesi esastır.

TÜBİTAK desteği ile programa kabul edilen adaylardan 800 TL depozito alınacak ancak bu ödeme , desteğin çıkması ile, para transferinin ardından katılımcılara iade edilecektir. Okulun TÜBİTAK tarafından desteklenmemesi ve/veya adayın yazokuluna katılmaması halinde depozito iade edilmeyecek kayıt/rezervasyon ücreti olarak tahsil edilecektir.

Programa  kabuller iki etapta gerçekleştirilecektir.  Adaylar önce ön-başvuruda bulunacaklar , takiben  programa kabul edilenler e-posta ile bilgilendirilecek   ve öngörülen süre içerisinde kayıt yaptırmaları istenecektir.  Öngörülen süre içerisinde kayıt yaptırmayan adaylar haklarından vaz geçmiş sayılacaktır.   Kayıt haklarını kullanmayan adaylar olması durumunda yeni başvuru dönemi açılacak ve toplam 60 kişilik kontenjanı dolana kadar  kabuller  sürdürülecektir.

(*) Programa TÜBİTAK desteği ile  kabul edilen adaylar , TÜBİTAK’a yapılan  destek  başvurusunun olumsuz sonuçlanabilme ihtimalinin de olduğunu bilmeli ve ona göre hazırlıklarını yapmalıdırlar.

TUBITAK SUPPORT : An application was made to TÜBİTAK BİDEB 2237-A “Educational  Activities Support Program”  to get fundings for mESC-School 23 . If granted   this would provide support  for    a total of 36 participants ( the school in total would have 60 participants) .  The application is currently under evaluation  in TUBITAK-BİDEB and we will know the result in June.

The support will include accommodation and daily expenses of the participants  within certain limits.   The limits  are as follows;

Accommodation (**): ₺ 250 / day
Daily allowance :₺  125  / day

The values above represent the  level of support  currently available ( We are awaiting  a rise in the level support, which- if takes place – will be reflected to the mESC_School support holders.)  

Since the funding, if any,  will be known in June, (might well be after we hold the school)   the participants  will be responsible  for  their own expenses.    If   the program is funded by TUBITAK-BİDEB , following the transfer of recources to us, we will reimburse you  the cost of  accomodation  and daily expenses.  It is important that  you get  your invoice issued to

Applicants will be admitted to the program in two groups; those   taking part  in  the school   with their own support( 24 applicants in total) and those would be accepted to the program with the  TUBITAK Support(36 applicants in total).

TUBİTAK support  is open to graduate students  (registered or accepted to the graduate programs),  post-doctoral researchers and  young researcher, all  are conducting research in the very field for which the school  is organized, i.e. Energy Storage and Conversion.) Participants  will be nominated for TUBITAK support  following a selection procedure as outlined below. Since the school will be conducted in English

i)a minimum of YDS(English)  >= 60 or its equvalent  is required  for all participants.

ii)we aim to accept participants  from  diverse institutions and  therefore we may limit the number of participants from the same institution .  Therefore , when necessary   applicants from the instutions will be selected  based on their  ALES score. 

iii)Appilicants  from earthquake affected zone would have a priority.  A ratio of “experienced” researcher (i.e.participant  with  one or two year research experience) to new comers  ≈ 2: 1 will   be observed  in selecting the participants .

A provisional registration fee of ₺ 800 will be charged to the applicants with  TUBITAK support.    This fee will be returned to the applicants at the end of the summer school. If  the school is not funded by TUBITAK and/ or in case of no show up,  it will be charged as registration/ reservation fee and will not be returned to the applicant.

Applications to the program will involve two stages First, preapplications will be accepted.  Then, applicants eligible for the program will be notified via an e-mail and asked to register within a prescribed period. Those who do not register within this period will loose the right for registrations. If the school is not full in the first cycle, a second cycle may be intitiated.

(*) Those who are nominated for TUBITAK Support should be aware of the fact that  there is no guarantee  that the program will be funded by TUBITAK.   So please make necessary preparation  so that you have enough  resources  for your own accomodation and daily expenses.
